Foundation For Environmental Medicine (FEM) was established in
1998, at Kasturba
Hospital, Ward No. 12. It is a not- for- Profit
Non Governmental Organization, Registered
under the Maharashtra Society Act Reg. No. 586 1995 G.B.B.S.D. and receives considerable support from prominent industries of
India.
FEM’s primary goal is to serve as a unique research center;
monitoring environmental degradation and offering life-style improving
solutions for the same.
Major objectives
of this prestigious institution are to provide consultation, and a forum
for discussion to industry, government and the public on health hazards;
to create a world wide network of similar research institute; and to provide
education and training to health professionals on occupation - and environment-
related health problems. |
